Oasis - Sending and Receiving
Notes
- OASIS is not HL7 aware.
- OASIS uses Microsoft Word as its letter writing tool.
- OASIS can attach and import external documents of the following types:
- Portable Document Format (PDF)
- Rich Text Format (RTF)
Using Oasis to Send Referrals via Microsoft Word
Once a client's record is opened, click on the Click Documents icon.
In the 'Documents' interface, click on the Outgoing icon.
Select one of the Document Templates in the 'Template Selection' interface.
The selection of document template will start Microsoft Word and initiates the Microsoft Mail Merge to extract the required mail merge data from the database of Oasis.
When you construct the document template, make sure it contains the patient's name (first name and last name) and date of birth.
Once you have finished the letter, click on Send Clinical Document located in the 'ReferralNet toolbar' in Microsoft Word and the ReferralNet Agent interface, that allows you to select the recipient within the ReferralNet directory to send the letter to.
