TYRO CONFIGURATION
Tyro Terminal Adapter (TTA) installation
Go to Setup > Online Claiming > Medicare Online to open Online Claim Settings screen. On the Local tab, click on Install TTA and follow the instruction to install Tyro adapter to install the Tyro adapter.
Tyro Online Claim setting
Go to Setup > Online Claiming > Medicare Online to open Online Claim Settings screen. On Online Claim Settings screen, chose Global Setting tab:
1. Tick on Use Medicare Online Claiming
2. Enter Medicare's server and email
1. Server: www4.medicareaustralia.gov.au/ext
2. Email: ebus.test@medicareaustralia.gov.au
3. Tick on Use Tyro Integrated EFTPOS to use EFTPOS purchase and refund
4. Tick on Use Easyclaim Bulk Bill Claiming to use Bulk Bill easy claim
5. Tick on Use Easyclaim Private Patient Claiming to use Private Patient easy claim
6. Tick on Use Healthpoint Claiming to use Health point claim
Switch to Local Setting tab:
1. Enter value into PKI Directory and Passphrase on PKI section > Certification tab
2. Enter merchant ID, terminal ID, Pos system name on Tyro Terminal Apdapter Control Panel section > Configuration tab
3. Click on Pairing tab under the Tyro Terminal Apdapter Control Panel section and click on Commence Pairing to pair the computer and the Tyro
4. Click on Save Changes button to save all settings.
Setting up bank account and activate account to use with Tyro in Pracnet.
There are two ways to access the bank account details screen. The first one is on the Online Claim Settings screen, click on Setup Merchant IDs button. The second way is to click on Setup > Bank Accounts. To open an account detail, just double click onto the bank account.
If there isn't a bank account already exist, then please click New.
Enter bank account details including Merchant ID and save the changes.
EFTPOS PURCHASE
On Patient Search screen, select a patient and then click New Receipt quick link or on the Invoice details screen, click Pay button to access Receipt screen.
When Receipt screen has opened, do the following steps:
1. Enter payment amount in the Amount column.
2. Select payment type (debit card, visa, master, amex, dinners)
3. Tick on Use Integrated EFTPOS.
4. Allocate payment for each item
5. Select a bank account for each item
6. Click Integrated EFTPOS
Clicking on Integrated EFTPOS will trigger Tyro Simulator. Follow all steps on the simulator to finish EFTPOS purchase transaction.
If the transaction is successful, allocated amount will be highlighted in Green; otherwise it will be highlighted in Red.
Finally, clicking on Save button to save the receipt.
EFTPOS REFUND
On Patient List screen, select a patient and then click Account History quick link to open “Account History” screen.
When the Account History has opened, select Debits & Credits tab and click Refund button.
When Refund screen is displayed, do the following steps:
1. Enter the amount in the allocated amount
2. Select a payment method (visa, master, dinners, amex, debit card)
3. Tick on Use Integrated EFTPOS
4. Enter a reason
5. Click on Integrated EFTPOS button to trigger Tyro Simulator
On the Tyro Simulator screen, follow all steps to finish the EFTPOS refund transaction.
Finally, click on Save button to save the receipt.
BULK BILL EASY CLAIM
Send an invoice from Bulk Bill Claim list
Go to Admin Tasks > Bulk Bill Claim to access Bulk Bill Claim screen. On “Bulk Bill Claim” screen, click on “New Claim” button.
When New Claim screen is opened, do the following steps:
1. Select only one invoice to be sent
2. Tick on Via Easy claim to send via Bulk bill easy claim
3. Tick on Send Now to send the invoice in real time. Otherwise, the invoice will be batched and sent later
4. Click OK button to send the invoice
Tyro Simulator screen will be opened after clicking OK on New Claim screen. Do all steps to complete transaction.
After the transaction is completed, result from Tyro will be displayed on Claim Response Status screen. Click Close to return to Bulk Bill Claim screen.
A new transmitted claim will be displayed on Bulk Bill Claim screen.
If sending invoice later option is chosen, the invoice will be included in a batched claim. To send the claim, on Bulk Bill Claim screen, just select it and click Transmit button.
Tyro Simulator screen will be triggered. Follow all steps on the screen to finish transaction.
After the transaction is completed, result from Tyro will be displayed on “Claim Response Status” screen. Click “Close” to return to “Bulk Bill Claim” screen.
On “Bulk Bill Claim” screen, the claim’s status will be transmitted.
Send an invoice from Appointment Book
When patient leaves, on Appointment Book, right click on his appointment and select Patient > Leave
New invoice screen will be shown to create new invoice for the patient. Select account type as Bulk Bill for Bulk Bill easy claim and enter other invoice details, then click on Online Claim button.
New claim screen is opened with the invoice created. Tick on Send Now and Via Easyclaim and click OK button to send the invoice to Tyro.
Tyro Simulator will be triggered. Follow instruction to finish action.
After the transaction is completed, Claim Response Status screen will be shown with response from Tyro. Close the screen to be back to Appointment Book.
Send an invoice from waiting room
When patient leaves, on Waiting Room list, right click on his waiting room and select Patient Leaving.
New invoice screen will be shown to create new invoice for the patient. Select account type as Bulk Bill for Bulk Bill easy claim and enter other invoice details, then click Online Claim button.
From here, do all actions mentioned in “Send an invoice from Appointment Book” section to send the invoice to Tyro.
Send an invoice from Invoice list
On Invoice list, select a Bulk Bill invoice and click Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen
OR select a Bulk Bill invoice and click Open button to open invoice details. On Invoice Details screen, click Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen
OR click New button to open Search Patient screen. Find a patient and click OK button to create a new invoice for the patient.
Select account type as Bulk Bill and enter invoice details, then click on Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen.
On New Claim screen, follow all actions mention in Send an invoice from Appointment Book section to send the invoice to Tyro.
Retrieve reports
To get reports from Tyro, on Bulk Bill Claim screen, select a transmitted claim and click Get Reports button. Status of claim will be changed depend on reports from Tyro.
After reports returned for a claim, handle it as a claim via Medicare online channel to finalise it.
Resolve exception
When retrieve reports from Tyro, if any item is fully paid with card flag, partly paid, or over paid due to some reason, the status of claim will be Exception to Review.
On Bulk Bill Claim List, select an Exception to Review claim and click Resolve Exceptions button to go to Resolve Exception screen.
On Resolve Exception screen, all exceptions need to be resolved will be displayed.
If an item has status as Fully Paid, only Remove action is allowed on this item. Click on Remove button to remove exception.
If an item has status as No Paid or Partly Paid, Write-off, Resubmit, or Remove actions are allowed on this item.
- Click on Remove button to remove the exception
- Click on Write Off to make a write-off and remove the exception
- Before resending the item, user should edit item details by clicking on Edit Item button and then, enter a reason for editing
Click OK button to access item details on Invoice Details screen
On this screen, make any necessary change on the item details or invoice details and click Save button to return back to Resolve Exception screen
Now on Resolve Exception screen, select the exception and click Resubmit button to see a confirmation
Select Yes for resend the item. New Claim screen will be displayed with the selected item.
At this moment, if user wants to resend via easy claim, just tick on Via Easyclaim and click OK button. Otherwise, just click on OK button.
After all exceptions of the claim are removed, the status of claim will be changed to Fully Rejected Awaiting for Payment Report if its payment report is not available yet, Ready to Receipt if its payment reports are available, or the claim will be deleted if all of its items are resent.
PRIVATE PATIENT EASY CLAIM
Send an invoice from Private Patient Claim List
Go to Admin Tasks > Patient Claim to access Patient Claim screen. On “Patient Claim” screen, click on “New Claim” button
When New Private Patient Claim screen is opened, do the following steps:
1. Select only one invoice to be sent
2. Tick on “Via Easy claim” to send via Private patient easy claim
3. Click “OK” button to send the invoice
Tyro Simulator screen will be triggered. Follow all steps on the screen to complete transaction.
After the transaction is completed, result from Tyro will be displayed on “Claim Response Status” screen. Click “Close” to return to “Patient Claim” screen. A new claim will be shown in “Patient Claim” screen. Status of the claim depends on result from Tyro. It can be Accessed, Aborted, or Fully Rejected.
Send an invoice from Appointment Book
When patient leaves, on Appointment Book, right click on his appointment and select Patient > Leave
New invoice screen will be shown to create new invoice for the patient. Select account type as Private Patient for Private Patient easy claim and enter other invoice details, then click Online Claim button.
New Private Patient claim screen is opened with the invoice created. Tick on Via Easyclaim and click OK button to send the invoice to Tyro.
Tyro Simulator will be triggered. Follow instruction to finish the transaction.
From the screen, follow all actions as mentioned in “Send an invoice from Private Patient Claim List” section to receive response from Tyro and return to Appointment Book.
Send an invoice from Waiting Room
When patient leaves, on Waiting Room list, right click on his waiting room and select Patient Leaving.
New invoice screen will be shown to create new invoice for the patient. Select account type as Private Patient for Private Patient easy claim and enter other invoice details, then click Online Claim button.
From here, do all actions mentioned in “Send an invoice from Appointment Book” section to send the invoice to Tyro.
Send an invoice from Invoice List
On Invoice list, select a Bulk Bill invoice and click Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen
OR select a Bulk Bill invoice and click Open button to open invoice details. On Invoice Details screen, click Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen
OR click New button to open Search Patient screen. Find a patient and click OK button to create a new invoice for the patient.
Select account type as Bulk Bill and enter invoice details, then click on Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen.
On New Claim screen, follow all actions mention in Send an invoice from Appointment Book section to send the invoice to Tyro.
Resend an aborted or fully rejected invoice
When send an invoice to Tyro, It can be aborted by user or fully rejected by Tyro. To resend to the invoice, please do one of following ways:
- On invoice list, select the invoice and click Online Claim button. Do all actions mentioned in “Send an invoice from Invoice List” to finish the transaction.
- On Private Patient Claim list, click New Claim button to open New Private Patient Claim screen. On the screen, find and select the invoice which will be resent and follow all action mentioned in “Send an invoice from Private Patient Claim List” to complete the transaction
HEALTH POINT CLAIM
Send an invoice from Health Fund Claim List
Go to Admin Tasks > Health Fund Claim to access Health Fund Claim screen. On “Health Fund Claim” screen, click on “New Claim” button
When New Health Fund Claim screen is opened, do the following steps:
1. Select only one invoice to be sent
2. Click “OK” button to send the invoice
Enter the last 2 digits of Patient ID on card on Input Extra Info and click OK button
Tyro Simulator screen will be triggered. Follow all steps on the screen to complete transaction.
After the transaction is completed, result from Tyro will be shown on Claim Response Status screen. Click Close button on the screen to return to Health Fund Claim screen. A new claim will be added in the screen. Status of the claim depends on result from Tyro.
If there is any GAP payment return from Tyro, closing Claim Response Status screen will trigger Receipt screen.
Complete the payment or abort and do payment later.
Send an invoice from Appointment Book
When patient leaves, on Appointment Book, right click on his appointment and select Patient > Leave
New invoice screen will be shown to create new invoice for the patient. Select account type as Health Fund for Health Fund easy claim and enter other invoice details, then click Online Claim button.
New Health Fund claim screen is opened with the invoice created. Click OK button to input the two last digits of patient ID on patient health fund card and continue to click on OK.
Tyro Simulator will be triggered. Follow instruction to finish the transaction.
From the screen, follow all actions as mentioned in “Send an invoice from Health Fund Claim List” section to receive response from Tyro and return to Appointment Book.
Send an invoice from Waiting Room
When patient leaves, on Waiting Room list, right click on his waiting room and select Patient Leaving.
New invoice screen will be shown to create new invoice for the patient. Select account type as Health Fund for Health Fund easy claim and enter other invoice details, then click Online Claim button.
From here, do all actions mentioned in “Send an invoice from Appointment Book” section to send the invoice to Tyro.
Send an invoice from Invoice List
On Invoice list, select a Bulk Bill invoice and click Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen
OR select a Bulk Bill invoice and click Open button to open invoice details. On Invoice Details screen, click Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen
OR click New button to open Search Patient screen. Find a patient and click OK button to create a new invoice for the patient.
Select account type as Bulk Bill and enter invoice details, then click on Online Claim button to trigger New Claim screen.
On New Claim screen, follow all actions mention in “Send an invoice from Appointment Book” section to send the invoice to Tyro.
Copayment
On Health Fund Claim screen, select a claim which is not fully paid. Copayment button will be enabled for the claim.
Clicking on Copayment button will trigger Receipt screen. Complete payment for the selected claim.
Same day deleted
On Health Fund Claim screen, clicking Same Day Delete button to open Cancel Health Point screen with all assessed claims sent within today.
Select a claim in the list and click Delete button to cancel the claim.
Tyro Simulator screen will be opened. Follow all steps on the screen to complete transaction.
After the transaction is completed, the claim will be changed from accessed to aborted and it will be removed from Cancel Health Point screen.
Close Cancel Health Point claim to return to Health Fund Claim screen. New status of the claim is shown in Health Fund Claim screen.
Resend an aborted or fully rejected invoice
When send an invoice to Tyro, It can be aborted by user or fully rejected by Tyro. To resend to the invoice, please do one of following ways:
- On invoice list, select the invoice and click Online Claim button. Do all actions mentioned in “Send an invoice from Invoice List” to finish the transaction.
- On Health Fund Claim list, click New Claim button to open New Health Fund Claim screen. On the screen, find and select the invoice which will be resent and follow all action mentioned in “Send an invoice from Private Patient Claim List” to complete the transaction
